Divine Appointments…those unexpected meetings of kindred spirits, an instant connection…we all experience this at some time in our lives. Those special moments when God directs our path to meet that of another, leaving us to feel as if we’ve already known each other for a lifetime.  Conversation just flows, mixed with laughter, possibly a trace of tears from an almost immediate understanding of hearts, an unspoken ease of comfort, discovery of like interests, and on and on.   

Often times a Divine Appointment touches us just when we need it most.  That instance when life has left us feeling very much alone and we need a friend, offering a listening ear, and there is none to be found.  And then, that special person just seems to appear, right out of nowhere. This person is exactly who we need at that very moment and possibly they need us, too.  This is what I call an awe inspiring Divine Appointment…the kind that leaves us a bit speechless when we look back at what just took place. There truly are angels among us!

 I am so very thankful that God enjoys orchestrating these Divine Appointments for us, always at that perfect moment.  Some of these special encounters result in the gift of a precious friendship that continues long past that first, unexpected introduction.  Then there are those that are meant only for that moment in time, leaving us with a treasured memory.  Both are absolutely amazing, if we will stop and appreciate them for what they are…Divine Appointments, designed just for us by a God who knows us inside and out and delights in warming our hearts and enriching our lives with such unanticipated blessings.
